Taking its name from EH Gombrich’s The Story of Art (the introductory bible to art history I grew up reading, which shockingly includes just one woman!), The Story of Art Without Men aims to retell art history with pioneering non-male artists who spearheaded movements and redefined the canon.
Beginning in the 1500s and ending in 2020s, this fully illustrated 500+ page book spans across globe to introduce you to myriad styles and movements, interweaving women, their work and stories, within.
It was so much fun taking the book around the UK. So I can’t wait to bring it to all of you here in the US. Let’s go!!
