Hi Katy, I met you during your book presentation at Centro University in Mexico City. Thank you for sharing this list of places to visit. I believe Mexico City is a great artistic center, people just know it yet! I am so glad you enjoyed your time in Mexico and that you come back soon!

The best Barragan experience I have had is this hidden Chapel he built, still inhabited by nuns! Amazing and affordable experience - https://maps.app.goo.gl/mFoTMii4RkZsNAJV8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

Sorry I meant you don’t need more than one day to see it all.

The Casa Azul sells out month in advance.

The Tamayo museum is cool but there aren’t any paintings on display right now. It’s an exhibit of an Icelandic performance artist. Really good.

The Leonora Carrington mural at the anthropology museum is not able to view. Not sure why.

A few updates from Mexico City. Using this list as a guide I’ve learned a few things: the Dolores Olmedao museum is indeed closed for the year even though it says it’s open on Google so don’t bother going there.

The National Palace murals are part of a tour where you need to arrive in the morning at 9:30 and line up outside for an hour or so.

The Zona Maco 2024 art fair is fun for a day but it’s a convention center need more time than that.
