Hello Katy! I love your podcast and am excited to discover your substack, as I just started a close-looking-art-history one myself: evaallanarts.substack.com. I saw the work of Brenda Mallory at the Hallie Ford Museum at Willamette U in Oregon, and thought she should be on your radar. Impeccable work. I wrote about one already but was excited there's an exhibition coming in January. Keep up the great work!

Might you consider interviewing C. Michelle Lindley for the podcast? Her debut novel The Nude is a gripping, provocative and sensual debut about art and cultural theft, complex gender dynamics and female desire. The central character is an art historian and the novel is very topical, exploring moral and ethical questions around museum acquisitions. Lindley has just penned her five favourite books on art for the Guardian and could talk about other art themed novels as well as her own work. Chloe Ashby and Ruth Millington are fans of the novel too. lisa[at]vervebooks.co.uk

selfishly hoping that by “younger audience” you are alluding to children’s books on women artists(!?!), regardless I’m excited for whatever it is!

Tove Jansen’s Summer book had a quietly embodied affect on me many summers ago. Just read a fab novel Absolutely and Forever - Rose Tremains latest. It would make great listening hearing her on the pod! x
