Chloe Aridjis on Leonora Carrington; Cat Bohannon on the female body; Art and activism; and all the art you need to see, read, and listen to this month!
Just listened to a vivid podcast on Lee Krasner rising like a pheonix (in jazz infused jubilance) following the death of Jackson Pollock - the grief n insomnia of her Night Journeys eventually evolving into the epic vibrant abstract expressive painting shown at MOMA - Krasner there in spirit if not body. I have been given a greater understanding of her life/art - thank you!
We can never get enough of Leonora Carrington & Chloe Aridjis’ story is so special :)
Thanks for all the recommendation! Very interesting and useful. :)
